What are Cyanotypes?
One quick way of making a picture instead of drawing, just by taking the paper putting an object on it then going into a dark room. It is as simple as that and it makes your picture look interesting. |

How to make cyanotypes?
To make cyanotypes you have to have a special paper which already has chemicals on it , it is called blueprint paper because the paper is blue and when the process is complete it has a blue background. Once you have the paper you go outside and put a variety of objects on it for around 5 minutes or less, (or until you can see that the paper has turned a dark green). Once this has happened you remove the objects and go into the dark room where you place the paper into the first tray, filled with a special chemical. After a few minutes you put it into another tray which houses a different chemical, then finally into the last tray, which fixes the picture. The final step is to submerge the paper in special water then allow it to dry.
WWW: in this image I had good shapes and most of the shapes came out very well and I had to stand very still for the sun to reflect it more
EBI: some of the objects didn't come out good I think the next time I need to use heavy objects to make it show more. |
WWW:some of these object was good I use and it very interesting because it is very different to the other picture that I made.
EBI; Some of the images looked like a ghost, they were shady but not very clear so next time I could make sure I use a different object. |
The image that I liked better is the image on the left because it looks clearer than the image on the right. This is because the image on the left shows the shapes with greater clarity. There is a big difference between the two pictures, next time I will use heavy objects to make it a bit clearer.
